The Traffic Signal and Sign Maintenance Division modifies and repairs traffic signals and signs for all of Deer Park's intersections and roadways to provide safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the signals for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. The Police Department, the Fire Department, inspectors, and citizens report traffic signal maintenance needs.
A large part of the workload is repair or replacement of traffic control equipment before it fails. The city conducts inspections of controller and signal equipment, intersection hardware, and auxiliary equipment such as detection loops.
